  Introduction
  Speaking about the topic of the project it should be said that it was chosen from the point of view of studied languages: English and Spanish, on the one hand, and based on Russian origin, on the other hand. In the frames of the Intercultural Business Communication course in general and within the studied modules of trimester, in particular, project relevance can be underlined. The practical application of this project can be explained by the fact that future intercultural communications in business will be built on the basis of establishing close relations. From this point of view humour is the key point and its peculiarities should be well-studied.

  Literature review. Humour phenomenon and its role in business
  According to different dictionaries humour is defined differently which can speak about different ways of understanding the phenomenon. It says about its complex structure. Additionally, it should be said that in different cultures and historic periods it has either positive or negative image (Gruner, 1997; Lefcourt, 2001).
  The concept of humour has its own history and was developed parallel to the development of the society. The etymology of the considered notion is originated from four humour classical Greek theory (Ruch, 1998).
  The development of humour is connected with the name of S.Freud (1928) and his psychoanalytical theory. He considered that humour is different from other sources of laughter or wit because it represents defense mechanism which helps person to express unacceptable impulses of sex or aggression. It means that anger, anxiety and depression kept in real life can be avoided with the help of this mechanism. Thus, he filled humour notion with new psychological context connected with well-being and mental health.
